Lesson Plans

Designed for children in primary school

All lesson plans are free to be used/adapted by teachers as they wish. Time is extremely finite as a teacher, so I hope this helps you claw some back!
As a former primary teacher in Scotland, these lessons follow the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
I'm sure other education systems have similar outcomes for ICT that you will be relevant.

Some useful information for those not acquainted with the Scottish Education System.
1st Level refers to Primary 2 - 4 (Years 1-3 in England)
2nd Level refers to Primary 5 - 7 (Years 4-6 in England)

Lesson Plan - Using Scratch to build and predict programs (1st Level)

Using a Visual Programming Language (via Scratch) to build programs where children's sprites will behave differently depending on where the mouse pointer is on the screen.
Once children can build programs that can do two or more actions, they will begin to determine what will happen purely from looking at the blocks of code.
The lesson plans contains screenshots to help teachers who are not as comfortable with coding/IT in general.
